General Requirements for Articles
Manuscripts, forwarded to the "Music Journal of Northern Europe" Editorial Board, should match the Journal's scope, be original and previously unpublished in other print and electronic media. Along with the article the following should be attached in a separate file:
- Information about the author (both in Russian and English: last name, name, patronymic; academic degree, academic title; job position, full name of the place of employment; telephone number, e-mail).
- Title of the article (both in Russian and English).
- Abstract (both in Russian and English; the size of 50-100 words; the abstract should reflect the content of the article and its major results; quotations should not be used, abbreviations should be defined.
- Key words (both in Russian and English; not more than 10 words; the term "key word" is defined here as a single word as well as a phrase).
- References (both in Russian and English, set by reference format GOST Р 7.0.5-2008)
Illustrations and note sheet samples should be provided in a separate TIFF file format with 600 DPI resolution.
Along with the article the author's photograph in JPG format (the size of 600 х 800pixels at least) should be provided in a separate file.
Additionally, the Journal accepts multimedia files (the duration of audio tracks and videos should be up to 10 minutes) in case they are referenced in the article (e.g. excerpts from concerts, rehearsals, recordings of music on-site).
